NG
I feel unexpectedly frustrated.
I came down to New York yesterday for a "introduction/group meeting" for the AEON Corporation with the hopes (expectations?) of being invited back tomorrow for a one-on-one interview. But they said no.
I want to be positive about this, so I'm going to express my relief at not having to spend the next few weeks worrying about the results of yet another job interview. Of course, that does mean the stakes of my JET aspirations just went up. Coupling that with the fact that ECC didn't even respond to my application, am I facing a serious challenge to the final stage of my plan?
Either way, it's up to me to try and enjoy my time in New York before I go back to Albany. I hope Mako takes this news better than I did.

Searching for a job has got to be one of the most miserable tasks around and rejection sucks. But with such a clear goal, in a way you have it easier than some. You must explore any and every option that will get you to Japan. Be aggressive. Follow up with phone calls. Send out thousands of resumes, if that's what it takes. Just act.
I'm sorry it didn't work out... Wasn't meant to be with this one. But I wouldn't worry. You're a great candidate.
