Lose an hour, Gain some pictures
Only in Japan: Tonight I saw a band called Gospe*Rats on Hey! Hey! Hey! Music Champ. They performed wearing matching pink suits, white gloves, and blackface. In their defense I'm sure they have absolutely no idea of why that's wrong, but why hasn't that information reached Japan yet?
I can think of nothing better to do tonight than show you recent images I've captured with my camera. Oh, and take note that with the beginning of daylight saving time this weekend I am now only thirteen hours ahead of the New York.

After the sumo tourney last month Mako and I had dinner at a self-service kushi restaurant.

Just a random encounter with Engrish on the streets.

More "engrish," seen on a T-shirt in Kobe last Friday.

Saw these girls outside Kyoto Station on Saturday. Notice how only one of them spotted me!

More girls from Kyoto, all of them handing out fliers for the Kobe Matsuri next month.

The Kansai TV building and park where Scott and I had a catch Saturday afternoon.
VIDEO CLIP: A random fountain in the underground of Umeda.

Today was some kind of welcoming ceremony on campus for new students, so they broke out the school band. Mostly they played Western music like The Jackson 5 and the theme to Sesame Street.

The cherry blossoms continue to bloom, more each day it seems. Let's hanami this weekend!
