Wrestling
I haven't been up to anything at all but I felt I should post something, if only to confirm my continuing existence.
I've been sleeping in, watching a lot of movies and having crazy dreams. Very little of it made sense. I was genuinely stunned the other day when someone rented Raiders of the Lost Ark and I realized that the little monkey they find in Cairo is actually evil. Not just malevolent, but purely evil. It even does the Nazi salute at one point!
Sumo has been a fascinating way to spend my afternoons. Watching the tournament on a daily basis is a lot of fun. You quickly identify with certain rikishi (wrestlers) and start to root for them. I've mentioned before that I'm a fan of Kotooshu but this week I've been finding a lot of other "charmers" among the pack. There's Takamisakari who gets really pumped before each bout by smacking himself all over his body. There's also Ama, the lightest active rikishi in the tournament weighing "only" 113kg (249 lbs) but still manages to hold his own against much heavier opponents. There's no doubt about it, I will be going to the Osaka tournament in March.
To be honest, I did write some details about me and Mako this weekend but it was too private to be posted on the blog (damn my cowardice). I e-mailed the story to a couple friends, in part to thank them for their past advice but also to look for more. I don't doubt that I love Mako but I do ask myself a lot of questions about where we're going. I'm still really happy about the way things are going, don't worry, yet I can't help but wonder if the choices I'm making are the right ones. I suppose everyone goes through this when they're in a relationship though.

Three things, 1.) I like to hear about dreams, and as long as it is not "private" I think you should share them. 2.) Is the sumo experience at all like the glory days of wrestling in the usa, minus the trash talk, ropes, different types of matches? 3.) is there anything you can tell us about mako?
Yo, daffy! How's it hangin dude! Sweet hearing about mako and you gettin' personal! Sumo eh! I love sumo! It reminds me of resident evil 4! Man, in that, you had a knife that could kill things! Dude!
hyde, salena: Yes.
samster: 1) if you really want to hear about my dreams I will post more about them. I assure you, they're not very interesting. 2) Sumo wrestling is not at all like other types of wrestling. There's no pinfalls or submissions and certainly no "foreign objects." 3) She loves me.
Kennedy: RE4 was fun, yes. I recommend the "Mercenaries" mode.
