I am Delicious
Registration creeps ever closer. Tomorrow I will draw my lot and learn whether or not I have a chance at my first choices. Last semester I got shafted, what will happen this time?
Dad and I took a trip out to Nara this afternoon, my first visit to the city. I once took a trip to the Nara Prefecture but that was a long time ago and the less said about it, the better. This trip turned out much better although I found myself really struggling with the cold weather. I think I need to invest in a new set of winter clothing because I just don't endure the frostiness like I used to. I don't miss being obese but I do wish I could laugh at freezing temperatures again!

Our visit included Kôfukuji, Tôdaiji and Kasuga Shrine. Much like Miyajima, deer roam freely in Nara. They tend to avoid the busier parts of the city but as soon as you start exploring any temples or the park they're everywhere. I found them to be bigger than the Miyajima deer and far more aggressive. Several of them tried to eat my map and a few started licking my coat! I can't imagine what they wanted to do that for, as I had nothing close to food on me at all. At one point Dad bought a snack for the deer and they were all over him in seconds. Sadly, this took place after my camera's battery died. Fear not, I promised Mako to take her to Nara so I'll go again and we'll capture some images of these beasts at work.

Speaking of Mako, she is feeling better. With any luck she'll have some time to meet my sister who arrives on Thursday. I know she's not really upset with me but when I told her I went to Nara today, she replied with something like "Hey! You said we should go together! (-_-)" Am I in trouble? (^_^);;
P.S. I added some pictures, I'll get to backtracking last week's images as soon as possible. Mako just e-mailed me asking about somebody named "Jacques Torres." Apparently his chocolate is delicous...
