Friday Questions
Questions occupying my mind today:
-Should I have tipped the tailor?
-Is it obnoxious when I try to speak Japanese to waiters? After all, I know they can speak English. Do I come across as a bumbling show-off?
-When attempting to arrange a rendévous via e-mail (with a lady), how long should I wait in-between replies? If two days pass, can I send a second message without coming off like a jerk?
-Why has my job search stalled again? On paper, I look really good: my resumé is well-written and I have ten years of retail/customer service experience.
-Will Land of the Dead be awesome or a disappointment? How can I lower my expectations to avoid the latter?
-Will Hyde be OK? What can I do to help?

1.) I don't know. I'm always bad at figuring out tips.
2.) I think they should be flattered that you are practicing your Japanese.
3.)You won't come off as a jerk, but you have to ask yourself why she hasn't replied. You don't want to seem desperate either.
4.)I have no idea, but just the fact that you raised the question makes me feel guilty that I have done practically nothing towards finding myself a summer job. (We all know what I've been doing instead...)
5.)I'm not a "Land of the Dead" kind of girl, so I'm kind of leaning towards disappointment, but stay an optimist!
6.) I'll be okay eventually. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog, etc. It helps to have friends. I think I just need to brace myself to hold my ground. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but he's not leaving me any other choice. I think this is the end of the road for me and Narc. People have survived heartbreak before. I think I'm more afraid of the emptiness and down time. That said, we could always meet up for a drink one of these days...
PS: Can you tell that I'm just sitting at home depressed reading blogs repeatedly and obsessively?

Yeah, I'm spending a lot of time here at the apartment myself, looking for work on the web, sending e-mails and making phone calls.
I will happily buy you a drink anytime!
