Outrageous

According to the NY Times, some homeless fuck-up set a fire that severely damaged the A and C lines. This pisses me off on several levels. First of all, if anyone thought that the MTA was prepared for any act of terrorism, you're an idiot. One crazy fuck accidentally caused so much damage they say it might take three to five years to fix, not to mention millions of dollars. Can you imagine what someone could intentionally do? Of course, they failed to apprehend the man (?) who set the blaze. They think he lit the fire to stay warm which begs the question, who the hell needs the subway to be warmer? It's at least 80 degrees down there, even in winter.

Now I'm starting to think about this incident. How do we know this was really an accident? Maybe this was a deliberate attack and they're trying to pass it off as a random act of a looney homeless dude. After all, if you were the MTA, would you rather be embarrassed by a independent "accident" or humiliated by a calculated attack?
