Let me tell you something about Codeine: it's overrated. I've got a prescription cough medicine covered in warning labels because it contains a "controlled substance" and may cause "drowsiness." Bullshit! I take a big (doctor-recommended) swig of this shit every night and I still can't get any sleep. The only "drowsiness" I feel is the next day because I didn't get to sleep the previous night.

On the bright side, I do feel a little better today compared to Monday. I felt well enough to eat three meals, if that's a good thing at all. Lots of juices and soup, plus the occasional ginger ale which my dad always told me was good for digestion. I'm going to try to make it to class tomorrow, as I only have a scant few meetings remaining. Now that I'm emerging from my haze, maybe I can finally finish that term paper. Hooray.

I am, at any given moment, operating under the influence of 2-4 different medications. I do not sleep nor do I wake up. "Drugged" is the only state of life I currently experience.

Funny how my TV has never seemed more interesting than it does now.

The semester is almost over but I still found a way to make shit complicated. Somewhere between Croton and New York City, I caught a nasty bug. I've got a kicking fever and I feel like I'm high right now, although without the sense of euphoria. Don't worry, I've already been to the Health Center and I've got a whole bag full of prescription medication to treat my symptoms.

Fortunately I won't be missing much in class while I'm resting, but this will make it a lot harder to finish my English term paper due on Thursday. In my current state of delirium, reading and writing are difficult tasks.

OK, last night I typed a long post recapping the reunion (lots of fun) and the free time I spent with my friends Friday into Saturday. Unfortunately, an error occured and the post was lost. I'll get back to that stuff, but not right now.

Right now I'm back in Albany, re-settling myself to finish this semester. I should have plenty of time to recount my reunion experience at some point this week. Later.
