Change Starts At The Top
It seems the people responsible for perpetuating the Star Trek are wondering about the future of the "franchise." They look at the failure of the last two movies and the declining ratings of the current TV series and they scratch their collective heads. Here's some free advice: You're fired! The people in "creative control" of the concepts and brand-name of "Star Trek" have run it aground with their PC-tendencies and reliance on technobabble. It's time for a fresh perspective. You know there are thousands of losers chomping at the bit to get back into the escape of Star Trek. All you have to do is tap that slumbering audience.
Goddamn it, I'm smart. Send me a check already.

Hey man, I'm not a pussy or anything but...I cried when Data died. That shit was fucked up!

Never saw things...going so right."

Data's "death" to me was so transparent because of the elaborate set-up which preceded it. First they find this amazing "double" of his, which has never been mentioned before by Dr. Soong, Data, or Lore. Then they connect the two and share Data's memory in an attempt to "repair" B4 but in reality they are hanging a giant sign on the wall saying "SOMETHING BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO DATA LOOK OUT." It would be like, in Star Trek II, Spock mind-melding with Dr. McCoy in the middle of the film.
